We started the day with a stellar caffe latte and napolitan biscotti. With that fuel under our belts, then we headed for the Campo dei Fiori market where locals stock their kitchens. So much fantastic fare! We then hit the bridges of Rome and followed it up with a visit to the Coliseum. Amazing to think of Julius Ceasar showing thumbs up or down to whimsy on a gladiators fate. Though a gruesome part of history some 2000 years ago, fascinating nonetheless.

More strolling through Romes cobblestoned streets to finally wind up at Obika, Rome's unique mozzarella bar. Feels like a sushi bar, only with buffalo mozzarella. Kick-ass delish.

Thus was it time to part ways. Oya saw me off at the train station as she heads to Turkey for a visit with her peeps. Sad to see her go. We travel well together and only rarely did one of us want off with the other's head. Back in Camucia, cycling home to the villa was a warm and starry treat that even the killer hill could not dampen.
