20 Sept - Coastal Walk

Checked off the final few kms of the trail as I hit Riomaggiore, the last village in the Cinque Terre. Bid the trail adieu and strolled over to La Spezia for breakfast where I lucked into another system of trails.

Of course got hopelessly lost but its all part of the game, innit? Nice not to have a set agenda so easy to take it all in stride. Anyway one of my so-called mistakes landed me in beautiful Lerici, a seaside resort south of La Spezia where I had the MOST kickass grilled bass. Ohhhhhh myyyyyy...

However, when I returned to the coastal road, it was crazy busy. Not many alternative options as we are boxed in by the nearby gorgeous mountain range. I saw I was going to halve to make an adjustment in my previous plan to walk the shoreline to Pisa. Called it a night in Carrera to give it a think...
